To gain more (SAFE) experience and learn how NOT to kayak :)
I HAVE BEEN KAYAKING FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR.
NAVIGATE LIKE A PRO, ESPECIALLY IN STICKY SITUATIONS.
I NEED TO BE MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE ON THE WATER SO I WON'T CREATE BAD OR UNSAFE HABITS.
EVENINGS DURING THE WEEK, OR SUNDAYS. SATURDAYS ARE NOT GOOD FOR ME.
Sign in to post a Greeting.
I will know next week if I have the final ok from work to work remotely. I own a house south of Chapel Hill, NC. My house backs up to a state park on the edge of a recreational lake. I can always meet you at Nantahala!
A pleasure to meet you and Mark this evening. Do follow up with a call so we can meet again with a bit more time with Mark and conversation
hey Jessie, congrats on the new paddle. You will like the shorter paddle. I am currently in NC working on my house here. I am hopefully moving here in February and working remotely for my company. I have been renting my house out here for the last 11 years and it really shows. Yard is in complete neglect. House needs painting ceiling and walls and I need new flooring. No small task. I won't be able to make the party. I probably won't leave here till Saturday or Sunday.
hey Jess, looking at the Werner site it says that my height should have a 188 to 191 cm lenght paddle. My current paddle is a 189. You need the shorter yourself. Looking at the photo on your profile you probably do need something shorter. So I will pass on yours. thanks for asking. I am also not so sure on a bent shaft. 20 years is a long time to adjust to a different shaft. Hope to see you soon.
Middle TN does not have a lot of wind for consistent summer sailing. I am a member of PPYC and HIYC and look forward to crewing this Fall and using club boats at both! I hope to do another charter come Dec./ Jan or March in a warm climate!
Nice seeing you on the water again at last night's full moon paddle! Regards to your Dad. Glad to hear he is continuing to do well. I will be rooting for the PAP group at Saturday's Dragon Boat Race! Hope to see you again soon on the water!
We enjoyed meeting you and your Dad at Shady Cove last night!
Love, love your photo...what's the story? Somehow hacked and I'm curious... :-)
Welcome Jessie!
Our rivers may be boring compared to the sark infested rivers you are used to paddling on; but hopefully you will find great places to paddle here and great people to paddle with.
Hey girl, missed you last night, catch up with you again soon!
