Great day, great trip, I would love to do this again in the spring or summer. -
Enjoyed the paddle, but the current was so fast that we did 9miles in one and a half hours, almost missed the take out, and had to paddle back up stream against a VERY STRONG CURRENT. . With this current we could have easily done a 15 or 20 mile paddle in 4 or 5 hours. -

Very good experience. Great information on safety, equipment and technique. If you are new or just an occasional Kayaker, this class is a must! -

Our daughter and 2 grandchildren had a ball, they did not want to leave Leslie at the end of the three hour session. -
What a great way to start kayaking! The information was very helpful and it's really nice to come away with Leslie's book to reinforce everything. The in-water part of the morning was fun and informative. It's nice to be able to experience the different types of kayaks that Leslie has on hand. I'm hooked! -

What is it about paddling that brings out the best in people? Great to see new and old friends, sunny day with juuuuust the right temperature, a rare sight of a hawk yanking a fish up in the air. We'll do this one again next year.— Leslie (ACA Certified Kayak Instructor)

Good biginers paddle, not much of a chalange, we need to do some swift water kayaking, maybe a Level 1 1/2 or 2.

Had a wonderful time with a fun group today. The rain stopped about the time we launched and it was a beautiful day on the river. Thanks, Leslie for leading and for talking me down off the ledge this morning as I wandered lost through Mammoth Cave Park. And thanks to Alan for hauling my boat and I back to the car!— Ron D

Leslie! Just when I thought you had out-done yourself hosting the red river paddle, you go and show us once again that you are the queen of paddle adventures! This was by far the best paddle I have been on this year. It was well worth the drive and putting up with the rain, which stopped the moment we arrived on the river. Bald Eagles as well as other birds-of-prey and various wildlife were jewels in the setting of the Green River. I can't wait to come back! -

Whoever said, "We've covered everything so far that we learned in the lessons" said it best. Note to self: Add 'What to do when a paddle breaks in half' to the lesson. You all get bragging rights on your first paddle - and we came through all the adventures as a team. I'll paddle with you all again anytime!!

I have to say that NKL's paddling trips are the most enjoyable trips I take. Everyone listens, is observant, and watch out for one another. Plus, being able to take sweep position enables me to enjoy the river, watch out for others and enjoy the peace of the river.... Thank you Lesley!

Easy put in and take out, lazy paddle with very little current llow, couple of strainers, nothing big. Good for first time paddlers and beginners.

Now, that's what I call fun. My first "river" trip in my new yak. When I flipped it over to store, I saw all the battle scars on the bottom and realized how many times I got hung up. It was truly a needed trip for us newbies. Thanks to Leslie for leading the way.— chip

I think this might have been one of my favorite trips so far. It was a great combo of a nice challenging river, like the Duck was, but had the longer length I like too. Great trip and awesome job leading it as always, Leslie!
