Duck River Paddle

Duck River (map)

Selected By: Leslie

Weather looks great to try again for a paddle on the Duck! The nine mile section we're doing is designated a scenic river. Lunch on the river, bring snack and drinks in addition to lunch. Also bring extra set of clothes in waterproof bag. If you've got one, wear your wetsuit or drysuit. Looks like a nice sunny day in the 60's - yeah!

Paddle posted on Aquaholics calendar, too.

p.s. Until the beginning of spring, winter paddles will have at the most three days notice. Also, for safety's sake, any paddle with fewer than four RSVP's are a 'no go.'

Great day, great trip, I would love to do this again in the spring or summer.

Enjoyed the paddle, but the current was so fast that we did 9miles in one and a half hours, almost missed the take out, and had to paddle back up stream against a VERY STRONG CURRENT. . With this current we could have easily done a 15 or 20 mile paddle in 4 or 5 hours.
