Three hours of Private Kayak Lesson

Let's begin your kayaking years with three hours of kayak lessons. You will learn to control and navigate a kayak where you want it to go, paddling safety, Universal River Signals, how to load and unload a boat, what to buy and not buy, and hot tips on kayaking. Boat and all gear provided for lesson at no extra charge. Children ages 8+ welcome to attend.
What to bring: Something to drink, shoes that can get wet and comfortable clothes

HollyI thought this was a valuable session and learned many helpful techniques. I had complete confidence in Leslie as an instructor. Had it not been for the half-hour delay in start time, to wait for a "lost" student, (which I can sympathize with, having had a difficult time finding the place), there would have been more time to "digest" what was taught. Otherwise, my rating would have been 5 stars. There was an abundant agenda, and there was a seeming rush to cover needed skills near the end of the session. I had a time constraint, so staying much past the stated end time was not an option, although Leslie continued beyond it for the benefit of all. Perhaps a 15 minute grace period is appropriate. More than that might inconvenience other participants. Nevertheless, Leslie did a fine job dealing with all ability levels, was patient and very positive!

Additional notes: Lesson canceled if chance of rain is 80% or greater during the time of the lesson.
Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
